PYP Presentations!

Today k-2 had their PYP Presentations in the afternoon. The students were nervous for it all day, especially my first graders. The two classes of first graders or 32 students in total performed a song called, "We've Been Working on Recycling." The students were nice and loud and hardly needed our assistance. Afterwards all the students sat down as the video my teacher put together was shown. It was about twelve minutes long. It showed the different ways all the students recycled, reduced, and reused. There were pictures as well as short clips. The students were so proud of the end result despite being nervous beforehand. When we headed back to our classroom the students wrote a short reflection to share with their parents. The goal was to include as many senses as possible. The students really did well on them because they knew the parents would be seeing so of course it was some of their best work! Tomorrow the 3-5th graders do their PYP Presentations so I will be going to watch Megan and Sarah's classes. It should be interesting!

The teachers will become a little less stressed once this is complete but then comes grade reports. Another fun thing.

Otherwise not much for the rest of the day. We have been so lucky with the weather lately as it has been in the high 60's! The snow can stay in Minnesota!

Sarah will add more tomorrow as we look forward to the weekend and having her parents visit!
